This practice opened in March 2008. Prior to that I worked at Chas. E. Wright Opticians, Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff for over 30 years. |

The aim in both practices is to offer a personal, relaxed and friendly service, whether you want completely new spectacles, wish to re-use your existing frames if possible or are quite happy to continue as you are.
We offer a repair service if required.
At all times we will maintain a fully professional outlook. |
Have you been told your eyes are “too bad” for contact lenses? Are you sure – there have been many changes in recent years. Are you having problems with reading in your contact lenses? – Varifocal contact lenses are available.

The practice was established by my grandfather, Richard Baxendine, in Victoria Road, Romford in 1921. He was joined by my father, Ernest Barber, in 1947. In turn I worked with my father for short periods in 1975 and 1980. He left Victoria Road in 1988 to practise at home but unfortunately was unable to continue due to ill health. Therefore I have run the business since 1990.
I have also worked in other practices, most recently at Ronald Brown Opticians, Baytree Centre in Brentwood between 2002 and 2007.
I offer a very personal, unhurried service by
appointment only and hope that I can accommodate most requirements with regard to frames, lenses and contact lenses. Most importantly, if you have any concerns about the health of your eyes, don't postpone a visit any longer. |
We hope to provide something to suit all tastes - if you are unable to find just what you are looking for we will attempt to obtain it for you. | |
